Charles Wayne Mixon was born on June 25th, 1961 in Augusta, Georgia. The Son of Jack Edward and Marjorie McDaniel Mixon. He was educated in the DeKalb County School System in Atlanta, Georgia.  Brother Mixon is married to Sharon A. Mixon of Belmont, Mississippi. They have two children, Joshua Allen and Carrie Standridge. They have four granddaughters and one grandson.

 Brother Mixon served in the US Army from April 1979 thru April 1983 where he achieved the rank of Specialist 4th class. He also served in the Georgia National Guard for 6 years. In 1990 he was called up for service in Operation Desert Storm as a parts Technician.

  He was raised a Master Mason on April 24th, 2007 in Bartlett Lodge #211 and served as Worshipful Master in 2010. He is currently serving as Treasurer. He earned the Tennessee Pin of Excellence in 2008.  He served the Grand Lodge as Grand Marshall in 2013. He served as Deputy District Chairman of District 1 from 2011-2014 and served as District Chairman for District 1 from 2014-2017. He also served as West Tennessee Deputy Director of the TNCHIP program.

 He was exalted in Rosemark Chapter #225 in August 2010 and served as Excellent High Priest in 2015. He was greeted in Rosemark Council #131 in August 2010 and served as Illustrious Master in 2016. He was knighted in Rosemark Commandery #39, where he served as Eminent Commander in 2017.

   He is a member of Memphis Scottish Rite Bodies. He served as Commander of Memphis Council of Kadosh from 2013-2014.  In 2011, He was accorded the rank of Knight Commander Court of Honor.  He was Coroneted Inspector General Honorary 33° in 2015.  He is currently serving as Director of Work for the Memphis Valley.

   He is a member of Tall Cedars of Lebanon Forest #213 and is currently serving as Treasurer. He is a member of Royal Order of Scotland, West Tennessee York Rite College #141, Tennessee Lodge of Research, West Tennessee Past Masters, St. Stephens Conclave Red Cross of Constantine, Knight Masons, and Allied Masonic Degrees, where he is currently serving as Sovereign Master.  He is a member of the Worshipful Society of Free Masons, He is a member of Georgia Lodge No. 124 Masonic order of Athelstan. He is a member of Rosslyn Chapel No. 33 St Thomas of Acon and is a member of Societas  Rosicruciana In Civitatibus Foederatis Tennessee College.

   He is a member of Bartlett O.K. Houck Chapter #216 Order of the Eastern Star where he served as Worthy Patron in 2010 and 2014 and is currently serving as Treasurer.  In April 2016 he was elected and served as Associate Grand Patron of the Grand Chapter of Tennessee Order of the Eastern Star in 2015-2016. He was elected and served as Worthy Grand Patron for the Grand Chapter of Tennessee Order of the Eastern Star 2016-2017.

 He is a member of the Al Chymia Shrine Temple A.A.O.N.M.S., where he is a member of the Shrine Hillbilly Unit. He served as president of the Hillbilly Unit in 2009. He served as president of SESHA (Southeast Shrine Hillbilly Association) in 2011. He is a member of the Shrine Past Masters.

  He was elected Junior Grand Warden on March 23, 2017 and has advanced each year being elected Most Worshipful Grand Master on March 24, 2021.
