Brother Dickie McKinney was born October 24, 1950, in Smith County, Tennessee, the son of Marion Eddith and Thayer Wilson McKinney. He graduated from Gordonsville High School. He retired as a member of Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local #572 after 34 years and is now taking care of the farm where he raises beef cattle. Brother McKinney was married to Phyllis Marie Winfree on February 14, 1970, and they have two sons, Dennis (and fiancé Tracy Robinson), Christopher (and wife Nikki), two grandchildren, Darien Johns (husband Kasey) and Levi McKinney, and great grandson, Kayden. He is an active member of New Middleton United Methodist Church. He was raised a Master Mason in New Middleton Lodge #249 on June 22, 1993, where he served as Worshipful Master in 1996, 1998, and 2001. He is also a plural member with Caldwell Lodge #273. Companion McKinney was exalted in Lebanon Chapter #25 on April 30, 1994, served as Excellent High Priest in 2017 and received the Order of the High Priest the same year. He was greeted in Lebanon Council #109 on April 30, 1994, currently serving as Illustrious Master; knighted in Baldwin Commandry #7 on May 14, 1994; and received the Masonic Order of Athelstan Tenn. Court #122. Brother McKinney was appointed District #12 Chairman in May 2011 and served the Grand Lodge in that position until appointed Grand Lecturer for District #12 and Robertson County District #7 in September 2012. He has also served the Grand Lodge since 2012 on the Education Committee. He is a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason Valley of Nashville since 1996; a member of Al Menah Temple of A.A.O.N.O.M.S.; Old Hickory Conclave, Red Cross of Constantine; Middle Tennessee York Rite College #143; a Life Member of Middle Tennessee York Rite Association; a member of Arch E. McClanahan A.M.D. Council #358; National Sojourners Andrew Jackson Chapter #385; Tennessee Forest #195 Tall Cedars of Lebanon; Ezra Council #89 Knight Masons; Tennessee Lodge of Research F.&A.M. #1508, Middle Tennessee Past Masters Association (Past President); Sam Davis Order Sword of Bunker Hill #125; Yellow Dog; and Masonic Order of the 4 Black Llamas. He is an Honorary Kentucky Colonel. Dickie was elected Junior Grand Warden March 26, 2015 and advanced each year being elected Most Worshipful Grand Master on March 29, 2018
